About Bill Connors

Bill Connors was first elected to the Sun Prairie City Council in April 2015.  He currently serves on the City Council President and the City Council's liaison to the School Board of the Sun Prairie Area School District.

Bill is an attorney and former City Administrator. He has extensive experience leading city departments, producing and manging budgets, and promoting economic development and redevelopment.

As City Administrator, Bill was responsible for leading city departments and advising the mayor and alderpersons on issues of economic development, land use planning, public works, and finance.

As a Fiscal Analyst for the Minnesota Legislature, Bill analyzed government finances and researched and prepared publications on state budget issues for legislators and the public.

Bill led the Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Division of the Office of the Minnesota State Auditor and knows how to use economic development tools effectively and responsibly to make informed decisions regarding city growth and development.

Bill is married and has four children, two in college and two in Sun Prairie public schools.
